From her Sydney based studio, Abigail Hatherley has composed, produced and recorded music for many projects, most notably writing the original score for the feature film The Finished People, plus a range of documentaries, TV series, short films, promotional videos and advertisements, including the ABC documentary Searching 4 Sandeep and the SBS documentaries Bush School and Gough Whitlam: In His Own Words.
Classically trained with a BA(Hons) in Music, and a Masters in Electro-Acoustic Music for Film and Television from Bournemouth University, England, she has a versatile range of musical skills - from traditional orchestration and rock performance art, to wide-ranging composition and production.
She lectured in film music history and composition at The American Intercontinental University in London for 7 years, and has been working as a freelance composer and music editor in Sydney, Australia since 2001.
Abigail's latest project is Family Confidential: Episode 6, The Casellas. This is the story of the Australian family that created Yellow Tail who came from nowhere to become Australia's wealthiest winemakers with assets close to four hundred million dollars, but their story has been clouded by gossip and innuendo about their home town.
